Reference Material Producer (RMP)
Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) are 'controls' or standards used to check the quality and metrological traceability of products, to validate analytical measurement methods, or for the calibration of instruments. The reference material producer is fully responsible for project planning and management, assignment of and decision on property values and relevant uncertainties, authorization of property values and issue of the certificate and other statement for the reference materials it produces.

ISO 17034:2016 specifies General Requirements in accordance with which a reference material producer has to demonstrate that it operates, if it is to be recognized as competent to carry out the production of reference materials
